Are You Ready for Zoë Kravitz as CATWOMAN?
Updated: Sep 5, 2020
If there's one thing Batman can't resist, it's the Feisty Feline, Catwoman. Zoë Kravitz takes on the role as the new Catwoman in 2021's, The Batman. Fans are excited to see the actress/musician take on the role.
Halle Berry is officially welcoming Zoë Kravitz into the Selina Kyle/Catwoman fold. Berry, who played the comic book character in the 2004 stand-alone film Catwoman, officially gave her blessing to Kravitz.
Kravitz talks about getting the role, "It was a little scary, but also whenever I get nervous about something, I feel it pushes me to a better place anyway, so I welcome the nerves. If you start focusing too much on what people are going to think you’re doing yourself a disservice, it’s almost like you’re putting your energy in the wrong place. Of course, I want to honor the fans and hope they like what I do with the role, but in order to do what I think I need to do with Catwoman I have to go internal and forget about the rest of the world."
While on lockdown Zoë had intense training for the role and stated, " She can fight now." The fight scenes between her and Pattinson should be intense.
It’s clear that the fight choreography is key in The Batman with both Catwoman and Batman showing off some killer moves in the trailer. The most exciting thing is that whatever their relationship may end up like, the pair are clearly antagonists when they meet with none of the gentle flirtatious romance like in The Dark Knight Rises.
Currently, The Batman is slated for release in October next year and honestly can we just get a time machine and go there now because we need this goth Batman in our lives.
